Trojan

A trojan is a harmful software (malware) that impersonates a trustworthy application or file to trick users and obtain illegal access to their computer systems. It is also known as the Trojan horse, named after the legendary Trojan horse from Greek mythology. A trojan emerges harmless or valuable but possesses obscured malicious code that can execute various destructive activities.
