In June of 1915, a small group of Stroh area citizens met to organize a bank for a very new settlement in the southeast part of LaGrange County. FSB acquired the banking business of The First National Bank of Fremont in 2005. This caused the total assets to exceed $400 million. The most recent branch opening was in Millersburg, in 2008. Farmers State Bank currently has 11 banking centers in 4 counties across Northeast Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
