Mercantile Bank was founded in 1997 by Directors and Bankers who firmly believe that customers, employees, and the communities they live in, are best served by financial institutions with local roots. Since then, the Bank has grown to become the state's third largest bank, and has done so by continually expanding its offerings, service and technology to meet the needs of individuals, companies and corporations it serves across Michigan.
