In 1937, a small group of investors organized to open a commerical bank in Vinita, Oklahoma, to serve the needs of the community and its residents. In 2001, Oklahoma State Bank opened the first branch in Langley, Oklahoma and then opened a second branch on Monkey Island in 2009. In 2010, Oklahoma State Bank was recoignzed by the Cherokee Nation and is TERO certified as a Native American owned company.
